Biographies
Patrick J. Gorbett
Pat serves as CEO and President of Great Lakes Cold Storage and brings more than thirty-five years of experience to the company. Serving in this capacity at Great Lakes, his overall responsibilities include all major decisions with respect to vendor, customer and financing issues. He has served on the Board of Directors for the International Association of Refrigerated Warehouses (2002- 2005) and Chairman of the Great Lakes Region of the IARW 2001.
In his spare time, Pat enjoys time with his family, High School football and golf.
Kevin T. Gorbett
In his role as Vice President of Sales and Marketing, Kevin spends a great deal of his time servicing customer needs and expanding their business with Great Lakes. With questions or updates about your inventory, you will more than likely speak with him. Kevin is also responsible for seeking new business opportunities, establishing price schedules for new customers and working closely with the operations department to ensure a smooth transition with your inventories.
Kevin is a graduate of Kent State University, of the World Food Logistics Institute, the leadership program, “Introduction to Ammonia Refrigeration,” at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, and the Dale Carnegie “Sales Advantage” professional development seminar.
He enjoys racquetball, basketball and spending time with his children in their activities.
Herb Quednau
Herb Quednau serves as plant manager for Great Lakes Cold Storage and is primarily responsible for the day-to-day operations of the entire facility. With 27 years experience in the industry, Herb applies that time to evaluating overall performance and management of the facility, including engineering and maintenance, customer service and office operations.
In his spare time, Herb participates in IARW and has taken courses in business management. Electronics and canine agility are personal hobbies for Herb.
Ruben Anderson
Ruben has been a shift supervisor and plant superintendent at Cranberry for over six years and has a total of eight years in the business. His primary duties include managing the daily operation of the facility, planning and executing the workload, and training employees. He also assists in inventory control, evaluating productivity, food security, and sanitation. When Ruben is not at work, he enjoys fishing, listening to gospel music, church, church assemblies and retreats, and spending time with his family, especially his 4 grandchildren.
Joseph Smith
Joe joined Great Lakes Cold Storage two years ago and is serving as General Manager of the Cranberry Township facility. He has over 10 years of previous management experience in food warehousing. In addition to the daily operations, he also focuses on dealing with maintenance, safety, customer service, security, and vendors.
He is in his second year of continuing education with the WFLO Institute and has completed training with AIB in Sanitation and Ammonia Refrigeration. A graduate of the US Naval Academy and a Desert Storm veteran, Joe continues to serve his community through the Salvation Army and his church. He also enjoys hunting, hiking and time with his wife, Linda, and three children.
Michael P. Hannah
Michael Hannah spends his time as manager of accounts payable, accounts receivable, collections and special projects and sales. With 11 years experience at Great Lakes, he is always ready to lend a helping hand or have a conversation, particularly when it comes to volunteer work at church or in his community.
Mary Lee Gorbett
Mary Lee Gorbett serves as administrative office manager and has as her primary responsibility the smooth management of the entire front office. She ensures appropriate customer service and billing functions for the office.
When not running the office, Mary Lee enjoys cooking and gardening.
